In the week ended March 17, there was a significant rise in the stock market. This week was shorter as compared to other weeks due to holiday on Holi festival. According to the report, a jump of four per cent has been registered in the market. It said that 60 small caps have registered a rise of 10 to 25 percent.

Foreign investors turned net buyers

According to the report, foreign institutional investors appeared to be net buyers after 10 weeks. The effect of easing tensions between Russia and Ukraine and the fall in crude oil prices has been visible. For the week, the BSE Sensex closed 2,313.63 points (4.16 per cent) higher at 57,863.93, while the Nifty 50 ended 656.6 points (3.94 per cent) higher at 17,287.05.
