Accounts Assistant Scheme

Accounts Assistant Scheme has been conceptualized by ICAI ARF in its continuous endeavor towards Skill Development for enhancing employability of the youth for development of industry ready competencies in the area of Accounting, Tax Compliances & allied domains. The present module aims in developing skill sets needed in Book-Keeping, GST and Income Tax Compliances. The scheme will offer skill based training based on evaluation and award of Certificate on successful completion.

The Three Modules Of Scheme Are As Under:


The course endeavouring towards accounting education, is committed to provide a framework for understanding accounting discipline and describing the fundamental accounting concepts and conventions and conversion of basic accounting system. An attempt has been made to provide a foundation on which students can successfully build and enhance their study/career. Further, care has been taken to provide interpretations and discussion in manner useful for the students. The material of course has been designed having regards to the needs of home study and distance learning students.


The course intended to provide the knowledge to students in respect of present taxation system of India. Taxation is one of the core competence areas having a wide scope from the career perspective. The course would help in developing requisite knowledge necessary for achieving the desired competence.


To overcome the various practical difficulties in input Tax credit (ITC) in VAT and other relevant act, GST comes into effect from 1st July 2017 giving a seamless mechanism for ITC. This course is designed in such a manner to develop an understanding of Goods and Service Tax Laws for beginners and to apply such knowledge to make computations and address basic application oriented issues.
