CBI Arrests Delhi Police Assistant Sub-Inspector for ₹10 Lakh Bribe

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has made a significant breakthrough by arresting an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the Delhi Police at the C.R. Park Police Station for accepting a hefty bribe of ₹10 lakh.

On February 10, 2026, the CBI registered a case against the accused ASI following allegations of demanding an undue advantage of ₹25 lakh to settle a property dispute. The accused had assured the complainant that no legal actions would be taken if the bribe was paid.

The CBI conducted a meticulously planned operation on the same day, successfully catching the ASI red-handed while accepting the part payment of ₹10 lakh. This arrest highlights the CBI’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption within public offices.

As the investigation continues, the CBI urges citizens to remain vigilant against corruption. Individuals who experience or witness corrupt practices, or are solicited for bribes by government officials, are encouraged to take action. Complaints can be lodged at the CBI’s Anti-Corruption Branch located at 1st Floor, CBI Building, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
