Delhi Lockdown extended till 31st May, 2021 : Delhi Govt.
Delhi Chief Minister, Mr. Kejriwal, via press conference in media extended the lockdown in Delhi, National Capital, for one more week, till 31st May, 2021 (5:00 AM).
During Press Conference, Delhi CM stated that:
- The number of Covid cases fell below 2,500 for the first time on Saturday since the current wave has hit Delhi and overwhelmed the medical infrastructure.
- On Saturday, Delhi reported 2,260 fresh Covid cases with a positivity rate of 3.5%, as compared to 26,169 cases on April 22 with a positivity rate of 36.24%.
- The situation against coronavirus is getting better with the efforts of Delhiites, we have to remain disciplined in this way.
Indication for Unlock in the city in phased manner, if situation is good: Delhi CM further stated that, If Covid-19 cases continue to decrease, we will begin to unlock Delhi in a phased manner from May 31.
