Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has asked investors to focus on small town entrepreneurs.
Addressing the India Venture and Alternative Capital Association conference on Wednesday, Goyal said that India has a huge pool of talent in small towns. Venture capital funds should reach tier III and IV cities and towns.
The Minister said that India has many entrepreneurs who have their roots in small towns and rural India and who started business as a small entity.
“I call upon the industry to focus on four things. These are to promote innovation and futuristic technology, support domestic capital mobilization, accelerate towards self-reliance and focus on Tier II, III and IV cities.
