Court Disposes ₹ 2.5-Crore Cheque Bounce Case Against Ameesha Patel
Ranchi: A court in Ranchi has recently disposed of a ₹ 2.5-crore cheque bounce case involving Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel. The case was resolved after Patel paid the entire amount to the complainant, bringing an end to the legal proceedings.
The order was given by Judicial Magistrate DN Shukla after filmmaker Ajay Kumar Singh, based in Jharkhand, filed an application regarding the case. Singh had lodged a complaint against Patel in 2018, alleging fraud and a cheque bounce related to a film production.
According to the complaint, Singh had transferred approximately ₹ 2.5 crore to Patel’s bank account intended for the production of a film titled Desi Magic. However, after the actress failed to proceed with the film, she issued a cheque for the same amount, which allegedly did not clear.
The resolution of this case marks a significant development for Patel, who is well-known for her roles in hit films, including Kaho Na Pyar Hai.
