Jaipur: The Income Tax raid on JKJ Jewelers Group in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur continues for the fifth consecutive day on Saturday. Shocking figures are continuously emerging in this raid. Income Tax Department is still conducting raids at 17 different locations in Delhi and Jaipur, while Income Tax operations have been completed at four locations in Kolkata. In this action, shocking revelations have been made about cash, gold and transactions worth crores of rupees.

Raid continues for fifth day on Saturday

On April 30, a major income tax action was taken at around 20 locations of the renowned JKJ Jewelers in three states of the country. These include cities like Jaipur, Delhi and Kolkata. In this action, cash worth crores of rupees, unaccounted property, gold and transactions worth crores of rupees through Hawala have come to light. Apart from this, documents of mutual transactions and digital devices have also been recovered from Joshi Group of JKJ Jewellers. Income Tax Department has taken them under their custody and is continuously investigating them. In the Income Tax action, jewelery worth Rs 45 crore has also been recovered from the house of JKJ Jewellers, which is unaccounted for. Income Tax has not received any documents regarding jewellery. Apart from this, 114 kg gold purchased with black money has also been recovered from the showroom.

Cash worth Rs 1.10 crore seized in the action

Income Tax has recovered cash worth Rs 1.10 crore from JKJ Jewelers till the fourth day of operations. Apart from this, investigation is also being done regarding cash worth Rs 3.5 crore. Income Tax has also found 114 kg of gold illegally from the showroom, regarding which the Income Tax Department is also busy investigating. During this period, Income Tax has also received information about cash sales worth Rs 400 crore. This sale is said to be done through fake bills. During the action, Income Tax officials have recovered a hard disk. In this, transactions worth crores of rupees have also come to light between JKJ Jewelers and Joshi Group. The Income Tax Department is continuously investigating this matter.
