The Income Tax Department team took action and raided the doctor’s hideouts. After which, during the raid, the department found a large amount of cash.
Income Tax Raid: The Income Tax Department has taken a major action in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Here the Income Tax team has reached a private hospital and a doctor’s house to raid on Friday (30 May) night. It is being told that the Investigation Wing of the Income Tax Department had received information about the presence of crores of rupees in cash at the doctor’s house. After which the Income Tax team has reached the house to raid. The Income Tax Department team has ordered a cash counting machine, after which it is being said that crores of rupees have been seized here.
However, it is not yet known how much money was seized from the doctor’s house. The Income Tax Department’s action is ongoing.
Cash recovered in four suitcases
After confirming the information, the department’s team raided the doctor’s residence and the hospital premises at around 8:30 pm on Friday night. During the operation, cash kept in four suitcases was recovered, for counting which cash counting machines have been ordered. The team has started questioning both the parties involved in the deal – the buyer and the seller – by making them sit on the spot.
Investigation has revealed that the deal for Vardaan Hospital was done for around Rs 7 crore. Out of this, Rs 4 crore was being paid illegally in cash, while the deal amount was shown much less in the registry. According to Income Tax officials, investigation of documents and cash related to the deal is going on. Adequate police force has also been deployed on the spot.
At present, the exact counting of cash is going on and the department’s team is investigating the whole matter in depth. The actual amount of cash will be confirmed only after the counting is completed.
The Income Tax Department team is currently engaged in investigation and further action is underway. The Income Tax Department may soon make big revelations in this regard.
