CBDT issues refunds of over Rs. 1,49,297 crore to more than 1.45 crore taxpayers; View Status follow these steps

CBDT issues refunds of over Rs. 1,49,297 crore to more than 1.45 crore taxpayers from 1st Apr,2021 to 27th December,2021. Income tax refunds of Rs. 50,793 crore have been issued in 1,42,48,302cases &corporate tax refunds of Rs. 98,504crore have been issued in 2,19,357cases

This includes 1.07 crore refunds of AY 2021-22 amounting to Rs. 21,021.19 crore.

 view Refund/ Demand Status, please follow the below steps:

  1. Login to e-Filing website with User ID, Password, Date of Birth / Date of Incorporation and Captcha.
  2. Go to My Account and click on “Refund/Demand Status”.
  3. Below details would be displayed.
    • Assessment Year
    • Status
    • Reason (For Refund Failure if any)
    • Mode of Payment is displayed.

Taxpayer can now view Refund/ Demand Status.
