Good news for Royal Enfield lovers: How much will be the saving on Classic 350 and Hunter due to GST reduction?

Royal Enfield will transfer the entire GST reduction benefit to customers, making its 350cc motorcycle range more affordable by up to ₹22,000. Effective September 22, 2025, significant price cuts will apply to models like the Classic 350 and Hunter 350, enhancing accessibility for new riders in the mid-size motorcycle market.

Royal Enfield Passes GST Reduction Benefits to Customers

Mid-size motorcycle maker Royal Enfield announced on Tuesday that it will pass on the entire benefit of the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) reduction on two-wheelers to its customers. This move makes its popular 350cc range more affordable by up to ₹22,000.

The GST Council recently approved a proposal to lower the tax rate on two-wheelers up to 350cc from 28% to 18%. In response to this decision, Royal Enfield revealed that it would revise prices across its 350cc portfolio, which includes popular models like the Classic 350 and Hunter 350, effective September 22, 2025.

Price Analysis

According to a recent price analysis, the entry-level Hunter 350 Standard variant, previously priced at ₹1,49,900 (ex-showroom), will now cost approximately ₹1,38,200, resulting in a savings of nearly ₹11,700. The mid variant will see reductions of about ₹13,800, while the top variant will be cheaper by roughly ₹14,100.

Similarly, significant price cuts will also be seen in the Classic 350 range. The Redditch edition, which carries an ex-showroom price of ₹1,97,253, will now be available for around ₹1,81,800. The top-end Chrome variant, earlier priced at ₹2,34,972, will see a reduction of more than ₹18,000, bringing its new price to close to ₹2,16,600.

The motorcycles with new pricing will be available to customers starting September 22, 2025.

“The Government of India’s latest GST reform will not only make motorcycles under 350cc more accessible but will also excite first-time buyers. Royal Enfield is delighted to announce that we are passing the full GST benefit of the price revision directly to our consumers, opening the world of Royal Enfield to an even larger community of riders,” said B Govindarajan, MD – Eicher Motors and CEO – Royal Enfield.

The company emphasized that this initiative reflects its commitment to making Royal Enfield motorcycles more accessible while reinforcing the 350cc segment, which it considers the backbone of India’s mid-size motorcycle market. Additionally, Royal Enfield stated that prices of motorcycles above 350cc will also be revised in accordance with the new GST rates.
