Today almost all government services have gone online. But for thousands of services like Aadhaar, passport, different apps have to be used. What if you get the benefit of more than 21 thousand services on just one app?

How To Download Umang App

To download the Umang app on Android phones Direct Link, go to Google Play Store and type Umang. Click on install and wait for the app to be downloaded. Proceed to launch the app post download and register for the service. For Apple users Direct Link, the app can be installed from the Apple App Store.

How To Use Umang App

Step 1: Download the Umang app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store
Step 2: Create your ‘Profile’ by providing personal details such as name, mobile number, age. There is also an option to upload a profile photo
Step 3: You can also link your Aadhaar number to the app and other social media accounts
Step 4: After profile creation, you can log in and go to the ‘Sort & Filter’ section to browse through the services and categories
Step 5: Go to the search option to look for particular services

How to Withdraw EPF using Umang app

Step 1: Download the Umang app
Step 2: Go to the search menu and look for EPFO
Step 3: Choose ‘Employee Centric’, click ‘Raise Claim’ and enter EPF UAN number
Step 4: Enter the OTP that is sent to your phone number, choose type of withdrawal and submit through Umang
Step 5: A claim reference number will be sent to you and you can use this to track the status of your claim

Note: In order to make EPF claims through this e-governance portal, it is very important to first have the following re-requites:

Approved and verified KYC details
UAN number linked to Aadhaar
Umang app linked to Aadhaar
Phone number should be linked to Aadhaar

List of Services Available on UMANG App

UMANG application facilitates its user with innumerable services. Given below are a few of them-

Service	Description
DigiLocker	A secure cloud-based platform for storing, sharing, getting issued and verifying documents/certificates.
Aadhaar Card	You can View and/or Download your Aadhaar Card from your DigiLocker Account
EPFO	This service on UMANG allows you to monitor your EPF (Employee Provident Fund) Account Balance, EPF Pension Account Balance, etc. using UAN and OTP to registered mobile number.
NPS	Logging in to the National Pension System account through UMANG App allows you to check your Tier 1 and Tier 2 Account balances, through PRAN and password
Pay Income Tax	This module available through UMANG application allows tax payers to pay their Advance Tax, Self-Assessment Tax, etc. using Challan 280. After tax payment, the tax payment challan can also be tracked using the “Track Challan Status” service.
Ayushman Bharat	This is National Health Protection Scheme currently being implemented as a Pilot Project to provide primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare network to masses.
e-RaktKosh	This UMANG module is designed to provide access to blood banks through greater digitisation and connectivity of blood banks across the country.
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna	This part of the Government-promoted app is designed to provide services that promote financial inclusion across the country.
Jeevan Pramaan	The Jeevan Pramaan service is available only to the pensioners allowing them to generate a Life Certificate using mobile handset connected to an external biometric device
Parivahan Sewa – Vahan	At present, this module in UMANG allows you to make payment of commercial road tax if Registration Certificate of the vehicle is updated on Digilocker.
LPG Services	UMANG App can be used to book cylinders online, request for refills, subsidies, mechanic services, surrender connections, etc. These services can be availed on HP Gas, Bharat Gas and Indane Gas.
Pension Services	Pensioners can avail services offered by the Department of Pension & Pensioner’s Welfare. The Pension Portal on the app can be used to avail facilities like pension application, retirement benefits, grievances, etc.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Housing for All (Urban) (PMAY)	PMAY (U) addresses urban housing shortage among the urban poor including slum dwellers by ensuring a pucca house to eligible urban poor. You can use the UMANG app to register, check application status, subsidy calculator, etc.
PAN (Permanent Account Number)	Users can avail PAN card-related services such as apply for a new PAN, make corrections/changes in PAN card, check status, download e-PAN are more
Passport Seva	The UMANG app can be used to access various Passport Seva-related services like locating a center, calculating fee payments, checking appointment availability, tracking passport application status, etc.
National Scholarship Portal	It seeks to ensure disbursement of scholarships to students on time. It is a common portal for various Scholarships schemes of Central and State Governments. Students can apply for fresh scholarship, renewal, check eligibility, track application status, etc. using the portal.
AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education)	AICTE is a statutory body responsible for proper planning and coordinating the development of technical education and management education systems in India. It accredits graduate and PG programs under specific categories at Indian institutions as per its charter. Users can check approved institutes, eligibility apply for PG and PMSSS scholarships and track application status.
