In this era of Corona crisis, the Modi government at the Center will pay the PF money deducted from his salary till March 31, 2022, next year. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday extended its deadline under the Self-Reliant India Employment Scheme (ABY Scheme) from 30 June 2021 to 31 March 2022.
In order to provide relief to lakhs of EPF members, in October 2020, it was decided to deposit the PF money deducted from the salary of the employees under the Self-Reliant India Employment Scheme. Under this scheme of the government, the government deposits 12 percent of the amount deducted from the salary of the employees and 12 percent of the employer’s share i.e. 24 percent of the total amount as EPF contribution. The government has extended the same scheme to March 2022, whose deadline was ending on June 30.
Who will get benefit?
1. In this era of Corona crisis, the Central Government has taken this step to provide financial assistance to new employment generating companies, job losers and low wage earners under the Self-Reliant India Employment Scheme.
2. Apart from this, if the expelled employees are reinstated during the entire lockdown implemented in the country during the first wave of Corona, then the employee and employer will also get the benefit of this scheme of the government.
3. The benefit of this scheme of the government will be given to those employees whose jobs have been lost between 1 March 2020 to 30 September 2020.
4. Along with this, the benefit of this scheme of the government will be given to those employees whose monthly salary is less than Rs 15,000 and they were working in such an institution before October 2020, where PF contribution was not deducted.
