Delivering the eighth convocation address at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University PDPU Gandhinagar through video conferencing, Prime Minister Modi said that India is marching ahead with the target to reduce the carbon footprint by 30 to 35 percent. He said that the global energy sector is witnessing a sea change due to the current pandemic and this will create a huge opportunity for growth, entrepreneurship and employment in the Indian energy sector. Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated five state-ofthe-art facilities to mark the eighth convocation of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University PDPU at Gandhinagar today through virtual mode. These include 45 MW production of monocrystalline solar photovoltaic panels set up by GEDA at the cost of Rs. 17 crore.
