On Monday, West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on rising prices of petrol and diesel said that there is only one cure for rising prices that the public should use less petroleum products. In a program organized by Indian Oil Corporation and other oil marketing companies on petroleum conservation, he said that people are expressing their concern over the rising oil prices.
He said that the only way to reduce the rising prices of anything is to reduce its use. Less use of petroleum products will help the economy of the nation because, petroleum products are imported from other countries. Actually, for the last 16 days, the prices of oil products have continued to rise. The price of petrol in the city has reached Rs 115.12 per liter and diesel Rs 99.83.
