RBI ALLOWS BIGGER BANK LOANS WITHOUT COLLATERAL FOR FARMERS

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has recently increased the limit for collateral-free agricultural loans from ₹1.6 lakh to ₹2 lakh per borrower. This decision was made to account for rising agricultural input costs and overall inflation.

This move aims to provide greater financial support to small and marginal farmers, enabling them to access credit more easily and invest in their agricultural activities.

By increasing the loan limit, the RBI hopes to boost agricultural productivity and contribute to the overall growth of the rural economy. The central bank will soon be issuing a circular giving effect to the announcement.
