Punjab National Bank (PNB) to Close Dormant Accounts
In a move to prevent misuse and reduce risk, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has announced that bank accounts dormant for more than three years and without any balance will be closed. The closure will take place without further notice, unless customers activate their accounts by submitting KYC documents to the branch.
It’s important to note that accounts linked to DEMAT accounts, lockers, student accounts, and those frozen by a statutory body will not be affected by this closure. This measure aims to streamline and secure the bank’s operations.
