Satya Nadella: Microsoft’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Satya Nadella met PM Modi. He promised that the company would help the country in realizing the concept of Digital India. Nadella is on a four-day visit to India. Nadella, a top Microsoft executive, described the meeting with the Prime Minister as “deep understanding”. He also appreciated the government’s emphasis on sustainable and inclusive economic growth through digital transformation.
Nadella tweeted on Thursday, ‘The government’s deep focus on sustainable and inclusive economic growth through digital transformation is inspiring. We are eager to help India realize the concept of Digital India and guide the world. He wrote, ‘Gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the meeting that developed deep understanding.’ Nadella is visiting several cities in the country and meeting customers, startups, developers, academicians, students and top government officials.
He met Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and talked about issues related to governance and security in the digital sector. He also met Electronics and IT Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Nadella commended India for building public digital infrastructure for the public good and underlined the importance of bringing inclusion and empowerment through technology and economic growth.
