Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Kolkata Zonal Office has conducted search operations on 16/03/2026 at 16 premises across Kolkata, Howrah, Siliguri and Durgapur in West Bengal linked to M/s Technosolis Informatics Limited, Smt. Surashree Kar, Subhajit Chakraborty and others. During the search, FDs, gold coins, cryptocurrency worth Rs. 2.5 Crore along with a number of incriminating documents and digital devices have been seized. Several immovable properties in the form of land, hotels, resorts, etc. having value of more than Rs. 20 Crore have been identified which have been obtained through criminal activities.
Further, 02 Bangladeshi Passports, 04 high end vehicles including one Mercedes were also seized during the search. A total of 88 liquor bottles of different brands were also recovered from one of the premises based in Siliguri and the same were handed over to the West Bengal Excise Department as part of ED’s contribution towards ensuring free and fair elections for West Bengal Legislative Assembly 2026.
ED initiated investigation on the basis of FIR registered by West Bengal Police under various Sections of the IPC, 1860 and Indian Telegraph Act, 1885. These accused persons were running an illegal call centre and used to make calls to foreign nationals, mainly in the United States of America and generated funds illegally by way of cheating foreign nationals and routed the same in India through unlawful means.
ED’s investigation under PMLA revealed that several bank accounts were maintained in the name of M/s Technosolis Informatics Ltd. and other companies controlled by Late Dibangkar Dhara, Smt. Surashree Kar, Subhajit Chakraborty and their associates for the purpose of receiving foreign exchange which were part of Proceeds of Crime generated through criminal activity i.e. illegal call centre operations conducted in the name of M/s Technosolis Informatics Limited and other related concerns.
