Budget 2022: Country May Get Many Semi-High Speed Trains

To upgrade rail connectivity in the country, the central government can increase the rail budget by 20% this time. If the government increases the budget, then the allocation of railways will increase to Rs 2.5 lakh crore. Along with this, the government can also announce to start many semi-high speed trains. This time the general public can get many more new gifts in the Railway Budget.

Many new trains will start

On 15 August 2021, Prime Minister Modi announced to run 75 new Vande Bharat trains from Red Fort in 75 weeks. Since then it was being speculated that this time the allocation of railway budget could be increased. Sources say that the special focus in the Rail Budget will be on the Golden Quadrilateral routes. It may be announced to run semi-high speed trains running at a speed of 180 to 200 kmph on these routes. These trains can be like Vande Bharat Express.

Initiative to make aluminum coaches

In the budget, the government can also announce the replacement of old ICF coaches from all trains and installation of new LHB coaches. Railways has been working on making aluminum coaches for a long time. These coaches are very light and have low energy consumption. This is the reason why there is a proposal to replace the existing trains. For this, focus can be kept on roll stocks in the budget. A proposal to make 6500 aluminum coaches, 1240 locomotives and about 35,000 wagons can be proposed in the budget.
