This is with reference to New Legal Mandatory declaration on every product packet (Pre packaged).
Central Govt. / Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, has notified the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Amendment Rules, 2021 and introduced a new Declaration “UNIL SALE PRICE”.

Effective Date: 01st April, 2022 and the same further extended till 01.10.2022
UNIT SALE PRICE
- Unit sale price means the sale price (inclusive of all taxes) per specified unit of weight, measure or number.
- The unit sale price shall be declared on the principal display panel of the pre-packaged commodity.
- The unit sale price shall be rounded off to the nearest two decimal places.
