The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki’s cheapest car Maruti Alto is now going to be introduced in a new avatar. According to the information, the new Maruti Alto K10 will be launched for sale on August 18, but before that some pictures of this car have been leaked on the internet.
In the new pictures, this car looks completely changed. Not only has its exterior and interiors been given a new look, but its size has also changed completely. This car looks even better and smarter than before.
These pictures of the new Maruti Alto K10 have been shared on Facebook by user Rahul Nair, in which both the exterior and the interior can be clearly seen. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 will be based on the new platform as it will use the lightweight Heartect architecture. The same technology has also been used in WagonR, Celerio, Ertiga, S-Presso, Ignis, Baleno and XL6. Due to being built on the new platform, the size of this car is bigger than the current model, apart from this, more space will also be available in the cabin.
Talking about the exterior of the new Alto K10, based on the images, it has been given a brand new front grille, new headlamps and 14-inch wheels, revised tail lamps, updated front and rear bumpers etc. Some chrome accents are also visible on the body of the car, the rear part of the car matches the old Baleno. Looking at this, you can understand that the company has increased its height, which will provide a better head look inside the car. More modern features and technology have been incorporated into its interior.
Recently a document related to this car was leaked, in which its size was told. According to this document, the new Maruti Alto will measure 3,530 mm in length, 1,490 mm in width and 1,520 mm in height. Apart from this, a wheelbase of 2,380 mm will be given in the car. This car is bigger than the current Alto. It is being told that its total weight can be 1,150 kg. Despite being bigger in size due to Heartect platform, the weight of this car is kept to a minimum, which will improve its mileage.
Coming in a total of 11 variants and trims, this car is getting the 1.0 liter capacity K10C DualJet petrol engine, which generates power of 67hp and torque of 89Nm. This power output is about 19hp more than the current car’s 796cc engine. Apart from this, the company will also offer this car with fitted CNG.
Maruti will try its best to equip this car with the best features according to the price segment. Other features including touchscreen, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, power windows can be found in its higher variant. Most likely, Maruti may not offer the rear wiper in any variant like the outgoing model, which was given in the top model in the previous generation.
