The country’s first double decker AC electric bus has been showcased in Mumbai. Switch Mobility Limited has developed India’s first double decker air conditioner bus Switch EiV 22. Switch Mobility Limited is a subsidiary of Ashok Leyland.
When the country’s first double-decker AC electric bus was showcased in Mumbai, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari was also present there.
Switch EiV 22 Electric Bus is the latest technology, ultra modern and has many safety features. The new electric double-decker bus of Switch EiV 22 has been designed in such a way that it will bring about a major revolution in public transportation in the country.
Switch EiV 22 This double-decker electric bus is the world’s first semi-low-floor air-conditioned bus with a wide rear overhang and rear staircase doors.
In this electric double-decker bus, twice as many passengers can ride at a time as compared to the single-decker bus. So far, Switch India has received orders for 200 electric buses.
Nitin Gadkari said on this occasion that there is a need to make major changes in the country’s transportation system keeping in mind the long term. Also, he congratulated Switch India for bringing this new technology.
