The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has announced that starting from February 6th, 2024, the Central Processing Centre (CPC) will be responsible for handling and resolving e-forms submitted by companies. This change is intended to alleviate the workload of Regional Directors and Registrars of Companies, allowing them to focus on enforcement matters. Additionally, it has been clarified that the jurisdictional Registrars will retain authority over companies whose e-forms are processed by the CPC for all other aspects of the Companies Act, 2013.
