Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has produced India’s first catalysts for limiting nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions from thermal power plants. BHEL established a manufacturing facility for SCR catalysts in Bengaluru. The first set of SCR catalysts has been sent to the Yadadri Thermal Power Station in Telangana. Several power generation companies have ordered SCR catalysts due to environmental concerns and government regulations. BHEL offers a range of eco-friendly technologies for thermal power plants, including high-efficiency boilers, electrostatic precipitators, flue gas desulphurisation units, and selective catalyst reactors. BHEL’s stock closed lower at Rs. 109.35 on Wednesday on the NSE.
