Wipro Limited witnessed a 0.75% increase in its share value following the inauguration of its Cyber Defence Centre (CDC) in Dusseldorf, Germany. This establishment represents the 17th of its kind on a global scale, dedicated to providing specialized cybersecurity services to clients in Germany and across Europe. Given the mounting threat of cyberattacks and the increasing importance of safeguarding data, the CDC will offer continuous cybersecurity monitoring, incident response, and remediation support.

In a strategic partnership with Microsoft, the CDC will harness the capabilities of Microsoft’s cybersecurity product suite, which includes Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Defender for IoT solutions. John Hermans, the Head of Europe Cyber Security & Risk Services at Wipro Limited, underscored the significance of cybersecurity as a business differentiator. He noted that their capabilities are expanding to encompass cloud-delivered services, such as SaaS (Software as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), as well as Operational Technology environments and IoT.
