SBI’s fourth quarter profit jumped 41 per cent to a record Rs 9,114 crore due to a fall in bad loans. A year ago, the bank had made a profit of 6,451 crores. The bank’s profit on a consolidated basis stood at Rs 9,549 crore.
Gross NPAs declined from 4.98 per cent to 3.97 per cent during this period. Net NPAs also declined to 1.02 per cent from 1.5 per cent. The bank has declared a dividend of Rs 7.10 per share.
