Markets open on a positive note. Nifty above 17,700. Tata Motors down 1%

Indian benchmark indices opened on a positive note. Amid positive global cues, Nifty is trading at 17,700. 

Index is lead by Oil & Gas, Power, Bank and Auto stocks. On the other hand, selling can be seen in IT, FMCG, Pharma and Healthcare sectors. 

ONGC and NTPC are among top gainers. Tata Consumer and Tata Motors are among top losers.
