HDFC Bank has made significant changes to its senior management team following the merger with HDFC Ltd. Kaizad Bharucha, deputy MD in charge of wholesale banking, takes on additional roles in inclusive banking initiatives, CSR, and ESG. Arvind Kapil now oversees the mortgage portfolio, while Arvind Vohra focuses on retail assets, excluding mortgages and SLI. Smita Bhagat and Sampath Kumar become new heads of retail branch banking. Ashima Bhat manages tele sales/relationship channels and infrastructure. Arup Rakshit leads the treasury function. Parag Rao assumes additional responsibilities for marketing, liability product group, and more. Santhanam remains Chief Marketing Officer for digital sales. Anjani Rathor becomes Chief Digital Experience Officer, and Rakesh Singh heads the creation of banking as a service (BaaS). Ramesh Lakshminarayanan, CIO, leads the unified IT and digital function, integrating HDFC Limited’s IT organization. These changes took effect on October 1. HDFC Bank shares closed at Rs.1,532, up by 1.59% on Wednesday at NSE.
