The price of bitcoin has crossed the $50,000 mark for the first time in three months. The world’s largest and most popular cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, is currently valued at $50,297.19. According to CoinDesk, bitcoin has given a total return of 72.3 percent so far this year.

The crypto market took a hit a few weeks ago due to China’s tightening of bitcoin mining and restrictions on the trading of cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin (16 percent) is the most popular coin, followed by Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash (6 percent) and Ripple (8 percent).
