Fake voting in India and registered voters in two places has been a big challenge to democracy from the beginning, but now very soon it will all be a thing of the past. For this the Election Commission is going to make many important changes.

A plan has been made to change the voter ID card still running in the country. Chhattisgarh State Election Officer P Dayanand gave information about the changes made by the Election Commission of India. According to him now the voter card is going to be hi-tech. Now QR code and hologram are going to be added to the voter ID card. Now Voter ID will be created afresh from 1st August.

New safety standards issued
Chhattisgarh State Election Officer P Dayanand has given information about the new changes made by the Election Commission of India by holding a press conference. He said that the voter photo identity card i.e. EPIC card will be issued with new security standards. Its distribution will be sent to the address of voters through speed post from August.

P Dayanand saved that voter IDs in Chhattisgarh will be created anew from August 1. In this, the Aadhar card number of all the voters will be collected. Camps will also be set up for Aadhar card number. EPIC card will be linked with Aadhar card. After this you will get a Hi-Tech colored Epic card with bar code.

In this way you can apply
Dayanand said that for this both new and old voters can apply offline or online. The target of 1 April has been fixed to collect the Aadhaar number of all voters. However, giving or not giving the Aadhaar number has been kept voluntary. Its main purpose is to establish the identity of voters and to identify the registration of the name of the same person in more than one constituency or registration in the same constituency more than once.

Eligibility will be determined four times in a year
Chhattisgarh State Election Officer said that after the new amendment, now the qualifying date for inclusion of names in the electoral roll has been fixed 4 times in a year i.e. 1 January, 1 April, 1 July and 1 October instead of 1 January. From August 1, new application forms and procedures will be available in ERO NET and its related IT applications National Voters Service Portal, Voter Helpline App and Garuda App.

The great thing is that this year, along with January 1, 2023, young citizens who are eligible on the dates of April 1, July 1 and October 1, 2023, will also have the facility of advance application to have their names added to the voter list. Such applicants will be able to apply from 09 November 2022 to 08 December 2022.
