COVID Vaccination: Registration For 15-18 Year Children Start From Today

Registration of corona vaccine is starting for 15 to 18 year old children in India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced on Christmas that all children of 15 to 18 years in the country will be given the corona vaccine.

Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted, “Children are safe, country’s future is safe! On the occasion of New Year, registration is being started on COWIN portal for COVID19 vaccination of children in the age group of 15 to 18 years. Families are requested to register eligible children for vaccination.

The Union Health Secretary has informed all the states and union territories that the age group of 15-18 will be given only the dosage of ‘Covaxin’ from Bharat Biotech. For this additional dose of ‘Covaxin’ will be sent to all the states and union territories.

You can register from today

For this, all the potential beneficiaries can register themselves on the Co-WIN portal from January 1, 2022. At the same time, you can also do walk-in registration by visiting the vaccination center directly from January 3, 2022. Children who are born in 2007 or earlier, this vaccine will be given only to them. The vaccine will not be administered to children younger than 15 years. 

The government said that all the protocols fixed for the vaccination of 15-18 age group have to be followed. Beneficiaries will be kept under observation for half an hour to see the effects of the vaccination and will be given a second dose only after 28 days.

How will the registration

To book a vaccine slot for your child, you must first register on the Co-WIN app. For this you have to login with your mobile number. The child’s photo ID will also be required to book the vaccine. After this process you will be able to book your slot.

Required Documents

If young children do not have documents like Voter ID, then Aadhaar Card will be used instead. Vaccine slots can also be booked from the school ID card of children who do not have Aadhaar. Apart from this, the registration of the vaccine can also be done by visiting the center. 

Register with parents mobile

Children who do not use mobile, they will also be able to register with the mobile number of the parents. According to the rules, registration can be done for four people from one mobile.
