Statistics of Income Tax Returns filed till 26.07.2022

Over 3.4 crore ITRs filed till 26th July, 2022 & about 30 lakh ITRs filed on 26th July, 2022 itself.

The due date to file ITR for AY 2022-23 is 31st July, 2022.

  1. A short extension of 15 days, must be given so that Assesses can file their income tax returns ontime.
Hope the Finance Minister considers the request as the returns are quite complicated for lay people to file.

  2. Really it is very adamant and inconsiderate attitude of Finance Ministry in not extending the last day for filing ITR.
There are genuine reasons like portal having glitches, portal being slow, problems due to floods, CAs too busy with GST, audit etc
One gets the impression that government is not only squeezing genuine tax payers but also bent on collecting fees for late filing, penalty etc.
God save us from IT hassles and harassment

It is really need of hour to extend return filing date..Finance Minister should consider due to system failures some people have received documents end of june or later..

Yes, Honourable FM can definitely make a short period extension since the IT site is not working while submitting ITR. This is an honest appeal.
