SIGNIFICANT DIRECT TAX PROPOSALS IN THE FINANCE BILL, 2025 By ICAI. The Union Budget 2025-26 announced transformative direct tax reforms intended at fostering inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Introduction of New Income-tax bill next week in the spirit of “Nyaya”, is the major proposal extending the government’s reform agenda. In this direction and with the objective of promoting ease of doing business, encouraging voluntary compliance, and reducing the compliance burden.
