Dahod, Gujarat: During routine vehicle checking near Dhanpur Chowkdi in Limkheda, police seized unaccounted cash worth over Rs 2.56 crore from an Ertiga car.
Three suspicious parcels containing large quantities of Indian currency notes were discovered and counted in the presence of panch witnesses. Preliminary investigation revealed that the cash was allegedly being transported from an angadia firm in Dahod to Vadodara.
Driver Rajubhai Ninama failed to provide valid legal documents for the money and reportedly stated that the cash had been handed over by Bharat Chopra of Dahod for delivery to Vadodara.
Limkheda Police seized the entire amount under BNSS provisions, deposited it in the treasury and officially informed the Income Tax Department.
