The Income Tax department raided and seized huge quantities of currency notes from properties of TMC MLA Jakir Hossain in Murshidabad and Kolkata
Once again the mountain of notes has knocked in the politics of West Bengal. TMC is once again in controversy after Partha Chatterjee and the education scam related to him. Rs 10.90 crore has been recovered from the house of Zakir Hussain, TMC MLA from Murshidabad. The Income Tax Department raided Zakir Hussain’s house and several of his factories late on Wednesday night. So much cash has been recovered during that raid itself. The MLA is definitely claiming that he has all the documents related to this cash, but the agencies have started their investigation.

For information, let us tell you that the Income Tax Department had raided a total of 28 places. 15 crore rupees have been recovered during that raid. There also Rs 11 crore has been received from Murshidabad alone, from where Zakir is the MLA. It is being told that the TMC MLA has a big business of beedi, there are many factories, Income Tax was keeping an eye on those factories, so during the investigation raids have been done there too. Apart from this, Hussain also has a rice mill, which is located in Raghunathganj, there is also an income tax raid. The house of a close friend of TMC MLA has also been raided.
