INCOME TAX PORTAL UPDATE: The updated offline and online utilities for ITR Forms 2 and 3 to exercise the option to update rebate u/s 87A for AY 2024-25 are now available on the portal.
However challenge still remains as to how the ITRs will be processed due to lack of clarification from CPC & Income Tax Department.
Also, there needs to be a clarification about how demands will be refunded of those assessees who have already paid Demands under Major Head 400 because on Revising of such ITR, Code 400 isn’t picked in Utility while feeding Challans!!
