Income Tax Officials Discuss Administrative, Functional Issues at Jaipur Conference

A conference for senior officials of the Income Tax Department took place, focusing on administrative and functional matters. Inaugurated by CBDT Chairman Ravi Agrawal, discussions included the e-human resource management system, taxpayer services, and budget issues. The goal is to enhance departmental efficiency and responsiveness for future requirements.

Income Tax Officials Discuss Administrative

Discussions were held on various administrative and functional issues of the Income Tax Department at a conference of its senior officials that began here on Monday.

The two-day conference of Principal Chief Commissioners and Principal Directors General of Income Tax was inaugurated by Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) Chairman Ravi Agrawal, according to a release.

The conference is aimed at deliberating on present and future issues concerning the department and discussing suggestions and action plans to make its functioning more effective, the release said.

On the first day, officials discussed the e-human resource management system, service matters, reservation policy, taxpayer services, the systems directorate, capacity building, infrastructure and expenditure budget, among other issues.

The deliberations are expected to contribute to making the department more efficient, responsive and aligned with future requirements, it said.

CBDT members Pankaj Kumar Mishra, Sanjay Bahadur, Prasenjit Singh, G Aparna Rao, Pallavi Agarwal and Sunil Kumar Singh, along with Sumeet Kumar, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Rajasthan, Jaipur, attended the conference.

Principal Chief Commissioners, Principal Directors of Income Tax, Commissioners of Income Tax (Administration) and other senior officers from various charges of the department across the country also participated in the conference.
