Income Tax Department has rolled out crucial updates for the Assessment Year 2025-26, enhancing the filing process for taxpayers. The online filing facility for ITR-5 and ITR-7 has been enabled on the e-filing portal, allowing users to submit their returns with the convenience of prefilled data. Furthermore, providing flexibility in filing methods, the department has also released the Offline Utility for ITR-7, which became available for download. These updates offer taxpayers multiple streamlined options to comply with their income tax return requirements efficiently.
