Two individuals, reportedly masquerading as income tax officials, have been apprehended by the Delhi Police Special Cell following an attempted raid on a resident’s home in the Preet Vihar area of the national capital. According to police reports on Friday, a complaint was filed on Thursday regarding the incident, wherein two individuals posing as income tax officers visited the home of a resident in Preet Vihar, seeking documents and mobile phones while also demanding a substantial bribe.
However, the family became suspicious and confronted the impersonators, prompting them to flee the scene. Subsequent investigations unveiled that the alleged impersonators were, in fact, police personnel—one serving as a head constable in the Preet Vihar police station and the other as a head constable in the traffic police. The Delhi Police Special Cell is currently conducting an inquiry into this case.
