AKAM is being celebrated as a part of Government of India initiative to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of India and its glorious history, people, culture and achievements. As a part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” (AKAM), Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) is dedicating 75 Taxpayer Facilitation Centres (TFC) across 70 cities all over the country. TFC is established as local help desk to assist the taxpayers with information as well as hand holding assistance.
Taxpayer Facilitation Centre (TFC) has been inaugurated in the premises of New Custom House, Air Cargo Complex, Meenambakkam, Chennai office by Sh. K.R. Uday Bhaskar, Pr. Commissioner of Customs. All importers, exporters and other Stakeholders are requested to avail the services of this TFC to answer their Queries and redress the grievances, if any, according to a press release issued by Leo John Ilango, Addl. Commissioner of Customs, Chennai Aircargo Customs.
