An arrest warrant has been issued for former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa in relation to an alleged fraud surrounding employee provident fund (EPF) contributions at Centaurus Lifestyle Brands Pvt Ltd, a Bengaluru-based company where he holds a director position.
The warrant is linked to outstanding dues amounting to nearly ₹24 lakh regarding the EPF contributions for the company’s employees. Uthappa has been given a deadline of December 27 to settle the outstanding payment; if he fails to do so, he may face arrest.

Uthappa was a member of India’s 2004 Under-19 World Cup squad and made his international debut two years later. Throughout his career, he played 46 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 13 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for India, accumulating 934 runs and 249 runs, respectively.
In his first-class career, Uthappa has scored 9,446 runs and has 6,534 runs in List A matches. He has also clinched two IPL trophies, with victories for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2014 and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2021.
