CBI Arrests Proclaimed Offender in Bhadu Seikh Murder Case
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today, i.e., 14.08.2026, has arrested Proclaimed Offender (PO) Masad Seikh in Bhadu Seikh Murder Case from Wari Bander, Dongri, Mumbai.
The accused was at large since registration of FIR in 2022, and he never joined investigation/trial. He has been arrested by the CBI based on human intelligence & technical inputs.
The CBI registered the instant case on 08.04.2022, in compliance of order of the Hon’ble Calcutta High Court, dated 08.04.2022, by taking over Rampurhat PS FIR No.168/2022 dated 22.03.2022 relating to Bhadu Seikh Murder Case on 21.03.2022 at Bogtui, Birbhum District, West Bengal.
After Completion of investigation, the CBI filed chargesheet and supplementary chargesheets in 2022 and 2023 against 09 accused persons, including Masad Seikh in the Court of Ld. ACJM, Rampurhat, Birbhum. Trial of the case was transferred to the Court of Ld. ADSJ, 4th Court, Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal.
The arrested accused would be brought to Kolkata from Mumbai for production before the Competent Court.
