Income Tax has recovered four crore rupees in cash hidden in the premises of a chemical businessman in Ashbagh. Along with this, luxury cars and jewellery have also been found about which Income Tax officials are making inquiries. Also, a huge amount of cash has been recovered from the residence of marble businessmen in Indira Nagar.
Raids began a day earlier at the hideouts of owners, directors and close associates of Indian Pesticide and Marble businessmen. According to Income Tax sources, the search operation continued till late Friday evening. In such a situation, this action is expected to continue till Saturday. More than 35 teams of Income Tax from Delhi and Lucknow conducted raids at 6 am on Thursday. Apart from Lucknow, raids are going on in Noida, Mumbai, Moradabad, Bareilly and Sandila. In Lucknow, the company has an old factory and office of Indian Pesticide of Swaroop Chemicals on Water Works Road in Ashbagh. Raids were also conducted at the premises located in Chinhat and Sandila at the same time. Apart from this, search operation is going on at the residence and offices of marble businessmen AK Jain and Heeke Jain.
According to Aapkar sources, many irregularities have been found in the records of Swaroop Chemicals. After finding a large amount of cash, the teams took help from a public sector bank for counting. Cash has also been found from the residence of marble businessmen AK Jain and DK Jain in Bahi, Indira Nagar.
Documents and hard drives sent to headquarters
Around 10 am, the officers involved in the search operation sent several bundles of documents, computer hard drives and pen drives to the Investigation Headquarters in Hazratganj for investigation. Answers to many questions are still not clear. In the evening, some top officials of the company were also called for questioning.
