Indian Air Force ready to counter China says Air Chief Marshal:
Indian Air Force Chief Air Marshal R K S Bhadauria said the force has taken all actions required to be taken to counter China. The Air Marshal said China has deployed heavily along LAC in support of their army. He said Chinese have a large presence of radars, surface to air missiles and surface to surface missiles and their deployment has been strong. He said any serious India-China conflict isn’t good for China at the global front and if Chinese aspirations are global then it doesn’t suit their grand plan. He said the low-cost and easy availability of simple disruptive technologies such as drones with small state and non-state actors have made them more lethal, agile and capable of generating disproportionate effects.
GAVI Board by Global Alliance for Vaccines & Immunisation nominated Health Family Welfare Minister as member:
Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has been nominated a member on the GAVI Board by the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation. Dr. Harsh Vardhan will represent India for two years starting from 2021 to 2023. The GAVI Board oversees the operations of the Vaccine Alliance and monitors programme implementation.
Rajinikanth announces he will not take political plunge due to health issues:
In Tamil Nadu, actor Rajinikanth announced that he will not take the political plunge and start a party as announced earlier, citing his frail health. Discharged from a Hyderabad hospital on Sunday after being treated for blood pressure fluctuations, the actor expressed fears over those accompanying him in his possible political journey facing “mental and economic” problems in the due course. He indicated that he did not want to sound chivalrous by saying he will join politics despite his severe health concerns and that he did not want to “make a victim” of his supporters now.
