India International Science Festival (IISF) 2020 to be organized from 22 December

India International Science Festival (IISF) 2020 is going to be organized from 22 December on virtual platforms. This will be the largest science festival to be held on a virtual platform. The theme of this year’s festival is “Science for Self-reliant India and Global Welfare”.  The festival begins on 22nd December, the birthday of Srinivas Ramanujam, the world renowned Indian mathematician and culminates on 25th December, the birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who was a firm believer of development through Science & Technology.IISF is an annual event organized jointly among others by DST, DBT, MoEF, MoHWF and CSIR from the Government of India and VijnanaBharati (VIBHA) as well as with support of a large number of other organisations.
