The GOVT. has made amendment to The Debts Recovery Tribunals and Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunals Electronic Filing Rules, 2020.
Amendment has been made to rule-3 whereby e-filing of pleadings before DRT/DRAT has been mandated where the debt to be recovered, as mentioned in the application, is Rs. 100 crore and more. Earlier, e filing of pleadings by applicants was optional.

p style=”text-align: left”>After a party electronically files a petition or document, it is necessary to file a hard copy within 7 working days along with acknowledgment of e-filing and the e-filing date will be taken as the date of making that submission.
