Maharashtra: Rs 25 crore to be provided for development of Dajipur Sanctuary in First Phase
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced that 25 crore rupees will be provided in the first phase for the development of Dajipur Sanctuary, which is part of the Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary in Kolhapur district. He said that priority should be given to repairing the historic elephant palace and starting elephant safaris, setting up a boating system at Radhanagari and creating tourist facilities at Rautwadi waterfall. He said the resort at the Dajipur Sanctuary should be repaired and upgraded through Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC). State Minister of Tourism and Environment Aditya Thackeray, who was also present at the meeting, said that work was underway to upgrade the existing tourist resort at Dajipur Sanctuary through MTDC. He said that the facilities are being developed in an environmentally friendly manner.
