J&K UT administration launches Urban Connect programme MY TOWN, MY PRIDE
In Jammu and Kashmir, following successful completion of Back to Village programme, the UT Administration today launched an Urban Connect programme MY TOWN, MY PRIDE. Our correspondent reports that participating in the inaugural programme at the historic Samba Fort
in Samba district, Adviser to Lieutenant Governor K. K. Sharma stressed on overall development of society through an active participatory governance. He said that the UT Administration is duty-bound to devolve the decision making policy at individual household doorstep and My Town, My Pride programme has been launched in this endeavour. He said, the purpose of the programme shall not be achieved unless people avail this opportunity to
fulfilling the institutional development gaps in their locality. Various departments have set-up their stalls, registration counters, certificate enrollment stations for the felicitation of public. Mr Sharma laid emphasis on availing all government schemes like domicile certificate, income
certificate, Old-age and Physically Handicapped pension registration, ration card updation, Aadhaar enrolment, horticulture, sericulture, fisheries, agriculture schemes, banking services and other pro-public schemes under one roof near their locality.
