ED attaches properties of former IAS officer Babu Lal Agarwal in PMLA case

Enforcement Directorate has provisionally attached properties totaling to Rs  28 crore of former IAS officer Babu Lal Agarwal under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA) in cases related to criminal misconduct and cheating by Public Servant. The attached assets include Plant and Machinery, balances in bank accounts and Immovable properties of Agarwal and his family members. ED initiated investigations under PMLA on the basis of FIR registered by ACB, Chhattisgarh under sections of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 which discloses the disproportionate assets amassed by him and his family members. The accused was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on the 9th November and is in judicial custody till 5th December.
