An important news is coming out for the customers of Lakshmi Vilas Bank and DBS Bank India Limited. Due to the merger of these two banks, a big change is going to happen. The existing IFSC of the bank’s branches will work only till February 28. The new IFSC will be applicable from 1st March 2022. In such a situation, the customers of this bank should update the new IFSC by 28 February 2022 so that there is no problem in their banking activities. According to the release issued by DBIL, customers will have to use the new DBS IFSC code for money transactions through NEFT/ RTGS/ IMPS from March 1, 2022. Only after this customers will be able to complete their work related to the transaction.
Bank providing new cheque-books to customers
All existing cheques will have to be replaced with new cheques before February 28, 2022. After this date, cheques with old MICR code will be declared invalid. The bank is giving new cheque-books with the new MICR code to the people from November 1, 2021. So that customers do not get upset at the last moment without reason. If you also have an account in this bank, then you should change your cheque-book soon.
